Medical Accommodations Building
Busy medical building’s elevator experienced repeated controller failure causing catastrophic motor failure. We replaced the stator and rotor and repaired the controller. We identified and addressed the root cause of the repeated failures ensuring long-term reliability of the elevator.
Personal Care Home
Personal Care Home in Winnipeg with only one elevator. It required urgent overnight repairs to ensure it could be used during the day. We worked on it overnight, replacing the leaking hydraulic valve, fixing the elevator. We also had coordinated a government inspection the following morning so the building could return to full service the next day.
Heritage Building
The elevator in a heritage building in downtown Winnipeg from the early 1900s, one of the oldest in the city. There is a lack of information available as well as parts on this elevator due to its age. The elevator had suffered a broken gear and damaged selector panel. Without electrical prints or reference material available, and after other elevator companies declined the repair, Local Elevator stepped in. Our team carefully reverse-engineered the system, successfully welding the gear, and repaired the selector panel, fully restoring the historic elevator to full, original operation.
Industrial Warehouse
The freight elevator was shut down by government inspectors due to numerous code violations. Other elevator companies had worked on it previously and were unable to get it into working condition, and some of the larger multinational companies refused to work on it. Local Elevator was able to diagnose the issues without any reference material or electrical prints, complete all necessary repairs, and return it to full service.
Food Processing Plant
An old Roelofson elevator was severely damaged after extensive flood damage, including the motor, pump, valve, and bottom section of the piston – which most would have considered a total loss. With no electrical prints available and the original manufacturer long out of business, this was a challenge. Other companies had turned this job down. We carefully assessed the damage, determined exact parts needed for repair, and successfully fixed the elevator.
